Biography
All artwork featured on this site is the creation of Chahir Barati (born 1958) and his team of skilled artists.
Chahir, originally trained as a mechanical engineer, transitioned to a career in graphic design in 1981, driven by a desire to express his creativity and talent rather than pursuing a conventional engineering path. His innovative approach quickly propelled him to the forefront of the industry, earning him recognition for designing logos for some of Egypt’s leading corporations, including GB Auto, Kiriazi, and Edita.
In the 1980s, Chahir founded his first company, **Graphia Advertising Agency**, followed by **Graphitec Press** in 1987 and **Graphilex Signs & Industries** in 1998. These ventures, collectively known as **The Graphia Group**, became highly regarded in the industry, employing approximately 300 engineers and staff and establishing a reputation for a successful business model.
Chahir’s accomplishments include winning the **AUC Golden Award for Creativity in Advertising** in 2000. In 2012, he published *Beauty of Arabic Calligraphy*, a well-received guide showcasing various styles of Arabic script.
In 2019, Chahir stepped back from daily management of the business to focus on personal artistic pursuits. By 2024, he had rekindled his passion for painting at his Cairo atelier, launching a new brand distinguished by a logo with a fascinating backstory.
